The Well Foundation and the Centre for Earth and Spirit are proud to present -
"AWAKENING THE DREAMER/CHANGING THE DREAM"

A symposium in partnership with the Pachamama Alliance of San Francisco
Saturday, 26 November 2011 - 10:00 am to 4:30 pm

This symposium was developed by the Pachamama Alliance* to engage people about the issues of change in our world today and to inspire us to get involved and become more part of the solution. It consists of inspiring short films featuring respected community leaders and leading edge information along with lively group interaction. The audiovisual segments encourage participants to reflect on the questions:
  • Where are we?
  • How did we get here?
  • What is possible for the future?
  • Where do we go from here?
The Pachamama* vision is that North America and the West generally need to awaken from a false dream based on growth, individuality, and endless consumption and help to create a world that has environmental sustainability, social justice, and spiritual fulfillment as key values. [* Pachamama is a South American term for Mother Earth]

FROM SENIOR TO ELDER
Stories, Reciprocity, Contribution, Transformation
An evening panel presentation with Val Murray and Chris Bullock
Thursday, 29 September 2011 - 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm

In this panel, Val Murray and Chris Bullock will explore the idea that the transformation from senior to elder can happen when an older person lives by an unfolding as opposed to a closed story, and when he or she engages in a mentoring relationship and sees it as a reciprocal rather than a one-way process.

They will explore this idea by reference to their experience of mentoring and story, and also by extended dialogue with the audience. The purpose of the panel is to find out more about the nature of true elderhood, and to explore what authentic elders can contribute to the evolution of a more sustainable society.

WHERE: Upper lounge at the BCGEU Building, 2994, Douglas Street, Victoria.
(Just up from Finlayson, next to Speedy Auto)

SUGGESTED DONATION: $10

REGISTRATION: Please register in advance so we know how many people are coming. Call: Chris Bullock at 250-384-8236 or e-mail: chrisbullock@shaw.ca

”CLEARING PERSONAL PATTERNS - PATHWAYS TO RESILIENCE”

with Barrett Biggs...

Along with our personal response to support all the trans-formative changes happening in the world today, there is a parallel and urgent call to actively pursue our own personal healing as never before. Moreover, it has even been suggested that it is only through this inner work, our personal healing, that we can become the key catalyst in the co-creation of the resplendent world we truly want for ourselves.

Pattern Busting is one offering for just this purpose: this inner healing. Through a gentle yet powerful process, using both insights and energy work, we are guided to clarify, identify, locate and release the roots of any dysfunctional behaviour pattern which is no longer serving our highest goals. We are then left with a clean slate upon which to intend a new and more positive belief.

The evening starts at 7:30 p.m and runs until 9:30 p.m. Suggested donation is $10.
